No Website or E-commerce Presence:
Manoosheh lacked an online platform to sell directly to customers, relying heavily on third-party delivery services like UberEats, DoorDash, and SkipTheDishes, which charge restaurants commission fees ranging from 15% to 30% per order, significantly cutting into profits. According to a study, restaurants lose an average of 20% of revenue due to these service fees.Limited Social Media Presence:
As a new business, Manoosheh had no established social media accounts to connect with potential customers, especially Queen’s University students and families in Kingston. Strategy
E-commerce Development
Manoosheh’s online ordering system was built using Square, a platform known for its seamless integration with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. This allowed for real-time inventory updates and an intuitive interface for future menu modifications, ensuring ease of use for the client.
Additionally, the DoorDash delivery option was integrated strategically. DoorDash offers the Self-Delivery program, enabling restaurants to handle their own deliveries while DoorDash only facilitates the ordering process.
Social Media Establishment & Integration
For Manoosheh, we created a brand-aligned Instagram account to establish a strong online presence. The account was designed to reflect the restaurant’s authentic Lebanese vibe, with a cohesive post theme that resonated with their audience.
To streamline user access, a Linktree was implemented, centralizing key links for the menu, online ordering, and other essential resources. Linktree is a critical tool for boosting website traffic, simplifying navigation, and improving customer engagement.
SEO Optimization
The SEO strategy included optimizing meta tags and implementing high-ranking keywords, specifically tailored to Lebanese cuisine and popular menu items. This ensured Manoosheh’s website appeared in relevant local and niche search results, driving organic traffic.
